Coming to England from Cape Town, South Africa, snow is not something that we see very often. so living through our first few winters in the English midlands it was terribly exiciting for us to see snow. I am one of those people who LOVES snow, I just cannot get enough of it.

What struck me in my first few winter seasons was the sky right before it snows. Those brooding pink/purple/grey leaden look in the sky just before the miracle of snowfall sprinkles down. Just looking a this colourway makes me long for snow days and that crazy child-like excitiment that grips my heart at the thought of thousands of snowflakes, each one unique in its makeup, falling to earth.

Hand Dyed Yarn Details

75% Superwash Merino

25% Nylon

425m per 100g

Recommended Knitting needle size: 2mm 3mm/ US 0-2

My yarn bases come from a local supplier that prides itself in sourcing its fibre from reliable suppliers with best practices with regard to animal husbandry and the environment, something that is very important to me.

I use acid dyes unless otherwise stated.
